The last couple of months have been busy ones, acting-wise. In addition to performing in the play "Garlic & Gasoline" in a Brooklyn one-act festival in November, I've been shooting a lot of good stuff.
This past summer, I shot the TV pilot of the legendary storytelling podcast RISK! I played the storyteller's dad in a really funny flashback sequence. According to director Aaron Kheifets, I "totally steal the show." (And we all know it's impolite to argue with the director.) The pilot has interest from several networks and I'm excited to see what happens with it. This fall I got to be a part of something that could be a very big deal for me: I shot a new scripted/improvised sitcom pilot for Zero Point Zero Productions. It's got a "Curb Your Enthusiasm" vibe and is built around a pretty famous fashion designer. I'm part of the main cast, which is a first for me. I got to see the finished product and it's great. Starting in the New Year it's going to be pitched to networks, so cross whatever you have more than one of. If it gets sold it'll be the start of a whole new phase in my career. More updates soon. And last but not least, I got to shoot a video with John Ennis of Mr. Show! John plays the awful host of an awful video promoting awful apartments for awful people. I have a cameo as another "young" hipster resident of the building.
