Watch me as Rusty in the one-act comedy SUCKER, as part of the new bkONE streaming series. Director Anthony Marino uses Zoom to bring staged readings to a live internet audience. We rehearsed via webcam, creating an experience where the characters were able to 'interact' virtually. (Be sure to check out the 'jacket gag' at 15:00!)

THE SPACES IN BETWEEN
HB Rehearsal Space Residency By Paula Pizzi-Black Directed by Deborah Linehan With: Richie Petrocelli, Patricia Randell, Domenica Feraud, Scout Cook, Anthony DeVito, Giselle Liberatore, Katya Collazo, Carolina Moreno, Marlon Quijije and Joey Palestina Saturday & Sunday, October 5 & 6 | 7 pm HB Studio - First Floor Studio 120 Bank Street, New York What happens when a child’s resilient spirit breaks right through the binary chains of intolerance defying the most ingrained platitudes? Labor Day Weekend is over; that means back to school and (ugh) work. Make the end of summer a little less awful with the hilarious parody 'Workington Career Centers.' Remember those 90s school tutoring commercials where flunking kids argued with exasperated moms? Here's an update for all us working stiffs. An angry wife (Katina Corrao) has had it with her childish husband (Anthony DeVito) who clearly does not exceed expectations. Luckily, help is available in the form of Workington Career Centers, who promise to “turn pathetic deadwood into valued employees… no matter how useless they are.” This VSFW (Very Safe For Work) video was created and written by actor/comedian Anthony DeVito (House of Cards, Funny Or Die, Above Average), who stars as the failing hubby with actress/comedian Katina Corrao (Broad City, Lasers In The Jungle) as his long-suffering spouse. Actor Anthony Marino of brooklynONE Productions is the ultra-cheerful Workington rep. “Those old commercials always make me laugh,” said Anthony DeVito. “The harsh, aggressive tone with everyone snapping at each other and lots of angry close-ups. I thought it’d be funny to create a company that helps adults who suck at work, which often treats us like we're children. It was really fun to shoot, although we had to stop a lot because we kept cracking up.” Edited by: Jake King Camera/Lighting/Sounds: Rob Martin and Jake King Graphic Design/Art Direction: Anthony DeVito Special Thanks to Dimensions On Stage Director Nick Snow (PRISM, The Shorts Show, WILT) offered me the role of a suburban dad who's also part of a ritual to summon a demon, so of course I said yes! The comedy/crime/supernatural thriller BLACKLIGHT is currently filming and it was great to work with Nick and the Shorts Show gang again. More updates soon.
