Dark Comedy Alert: 'Sad News For Danny' is a video I shot for the Livia Scott Sketch Program, a monthly show created by my very talented friend Livia Scott. The live version of the show is wrapping up a wildly successful 3-year run at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, NY and will be morphing into a video series in 2016. The last live show is this Wednesday at UCB and I'm very proud this video will be a part of it!
Livia wrote this specifically for me, which is a big honor. Hope you like it, even if it makes you sweat a little! (The little boy who played Danny was so great and he knew it was all in fun.)
I'm excited to share my first video with Above Average... a Martin-Scorsese-style parody about the "glory days" of the TSA.
Roger Skai and Thomas Bellezza had me on their show Top of the Bottom Pile on BBOX radio. Their show is gathering of comedians focused on working together as a team among like-minded individuals to bring laughter, success, and a little fun back into the business side of comedy.
We talked comedy, acting, the Art of Brooklyn Film Festival, Brooklyn On Demand and lots more. A silly, loose conversation with some real business tips. Have a listen:
This past Friday I shot a scene for the upcoming season of an Emmy-winning drama series that I was very excited to book through Julie Schubert's office. I have to keep the details quiet but will announce it when it premieres in early 2016. It was a great experience and am looking forward to seeing it on TV!
The first edition of Tourist Trap was so sold out it wasn't even funny! Actually, it was even funny which is why it was so sold out. The next edition on Saturday Sept 12 at 9:30PM will be even better, which new sketches including a great one for me which opens the show. So come on down and Get Trapped™ (that's a fake tagline which is not affiliated with the show in any way.)
